Buttock treatment: volume, contour and support
Buttock treatment is individualized and combines techniques such as collagen biostimulators, hyaluronic acid body filler and subcision to improve the volume, contour, support and skin quality of the buttock area. The combination is defined at the evaluation, according to each patient's anatomy and goal. At Yamagata Dermatologia, in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, it is performed by dermatologists after a medical evaluation.

How it works
The appearance of the buttocks depends on several factors: the volume and distribution of fat, the muscles, skin firmness and the presence of cellulite. For this reason, the treatment combines techniques with different functions:
- Body biostimulator: stimulates collagen production and improves skin firmness and quality.
- Body filler: restores volume and improves contour at specific points.
- Subcision: releases the fibers that form cellulite dimples.
The combination of techniques is defined at the evaluation, according to each patient's anatomy and goal.

What a session is like
The doctor assesses the area with the patient standing and marks the areas for each technique. After cleaning and anesthesia, the products are applied with a cannula or needle, and, when indicated, subcision is done in the same session. A session lasts about 1 hour.
Recovery
There may be swelling, tenderness and bruising, more intense when subcision is included.
Sessions and results
The effect of the filler is seen right after the application, and that of the biostimulator develops over the months. The number of sessions and the interval between them depend on the dermatologist's individual evaluation and on each patient's clinical concern.
Contraindications
The treatment is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, over wounds or active infections, or for people allergic to the components of the products. Previous permanent fillers, such as PMMA and silicone, require evaluation with dermatologic ultrasound.
At the evaluation, the dermatologist reviews your health history, current medications and previous procedures to confirm the indication.
All procedures are recommended and performed after an individual medical evaluation. Results vary from person to person.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Does buttock treatment replace buttock implants?
No. The treatments improve contour, firmness and skin quality and can provide a moderate gain in volume, but they do not produce the same increase as a buttock implant.
I have had buttock fillers before. Can I have it?
What was applied needs to be assessed. Permanent products, such as PMMA and silicone, require special care, and buttock mapping with dermatologic ultrasound helps identify the material and plan the treatment.
When do the results show?
The effect of the filler is immediate. The effect of the biostimulator, which depends on collagen production, appears gradually, from the second or third month.
