Biorevitalization with NCTF or PDRN: vitamins and polynucleotides for the skin
Biorevitalization is the application of active ingredients that nourish the skin and stimulate its regeneration. Two types are used at the clinic: NCTF, a complex of vitamins, amino acids, minerals and hyaluronic acid, and PDRN, based on polynucleotides (DNA fragments of natural origin). The treatment improves the glow, texture, hydration and firmness of the skin, including delicate areas such as the eyelids and forehead. At Yamagata Dermatologia, in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, it is performed by dermatologists after a medical evaluation.

- About 1 hour
- Anesthesia
- Numbing cream
- Recovery
- Bumps and redness for 1 to 2 days
- Volume
- Does not change volume
How it works
With aging, sun exposure and oxidative stress, the skin loses nutrients, water and its capacity to regenerate. Biorevitalization replenishes these elements directly in the dermis, as microdroplets, so that skin cells work better.
- NCTF: a complex of more than 50 ingredients, including vitamins, amino acids, minerals, coenzymes and nucleic acids, combined with hyaluronic acid. It acts on skin hydration, nourishment and glow.
- PDRN (polynucleotides): DNA fragments of natural origin that stimulate tissue regeneration and collagen production, improving skin firmness and thickness.
Indications
- Dull skin, texture and poresDull, tired skin with uneven texture.
- Eyelids and tired lookThin skin with lines around the eyes.
- Dark circlesThin, darkened skin under the eyes.
- Wrinkles and expression linesFine lines on the forehead and face.

What a session is like
After cleaning and applying a numbing cream, the doctor applies the product with a fine needle, as microdroplets spread across the treated area. On the eyelids, the application uses a delicate technique with closer points.
Recovery
Right after the session, small bumps and redness appear at the points and improve within one to two days. Small bruises may occur, especially around the eyes. You can return to your activities on the same day.
Sessions and results
The skin becomes more hydrated and radiant in the following weeks, and the improvement in firmness develops gradually. The number of sessions and the interval between them depend on the dermatologist's individual evaluation and on each patient's clinical concern. The response varies from person to person.
Contraindications
Biorevitalization is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, over infections, herpes or active inflammation in the area, or for people allergic to the product's components; in the case of PDRN, this includes fish allergy. Active autoimmune diseases require evaluation.
At the evaluation, the dermatologist reviews your health history, current medications and previous procedures to confirm the indication.
All procedures are recommended and performed after an individual medical evaluation. Results vary from person to person.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between NCTF (vitamin, amino acid and hyaluronic acid complex) and PDRN?
NCTF is a complex of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, coenzymes and hyaluronic acid, focused on nourishment, hydration and glow. PDRN is based on polynucleotides, which stimulate tissue regeneration and repair, focused on skin firmness and thickness. The choice is made at the evaluation, according to what the skin needs.
Can biorevitalization be done on the eyelids?
Yes. The skin of the eyelids and around the eyes is one of the indications, because it is thin and responds well to active ingredients applied as microdroplets.
Does biorevitalization add volume?
No. The products are applied in small amounts to the skin, focusing on quality, hydration and regeneration, with no change in volume.
Where does PDRN come from?
The polynucleotides used in PDRN products are usually obtained from fish DNA, such as salmon, and purified for medical use. People with a fish allergy should tell the doctor.
