Facial treatments: vitamin C, skin glow, LED, hydration and lymphatic drainage
Facial treatments are care and maintenance sessions for the facial skin, without needles and without downtime. At the clinic, they include the express facial, the vitamin C session, skin glow, LED facial, deep hydration and facial lymphatic drainage, indicated according to what the skin needs, alone or as a complement to other treatments. At Yamagata Dermatologia, in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, they are indicated after a dermatological evaluation.

What a session is like
The skin is cleansed and receives the active ingredients, masks, LED or massage planned for the type of session. At the end, moisturizer and sunscreen are applied. A session lasts about 1 hour.
Recovery
There is no recovery: you can return to your activities and wear makeup on the same day.
Sessions and results
The radiance and hydration effect is noticed right after the session. The number of sessions and the interval between them depend on the dermatologist's individual evaluation and on each patient's clinical concern.
Contraindications
Facial treatments are not recommended over wounds, infections or active herpes, or over sunburned skin. Allergies to cosmetics and diseases that cause light sensitivity, in the case of LED, should be reported at the evaluation.
At the evaluation, the dermatologist reviews your health history, current medications and previous procedures to confirm the indication.
All procedures are recommended and performed after an individual medical evaluation. Results vary from person to person.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Which facial treatment is right for me?
It depends on what your skin needs at the moment: vitamin C and skin glow for radiance, deep hydration for dry skin, LED to calm and regenerate, and drainage to reduce puffiness. The indication is made at the evaluation.
Do facial treatments replace medical procedures?
No. They are care and maintenance sessions that improve skin glow and comfort. Wrinkles, laxity, dark spots and scars require specific treatments, which facial treatments can complement.
Can I have one before an event?
Yes. Because they do not cause significant redness or peeling, treatments such as skin glow, vitamin C and deep hydration can be done a few days before an event.
